    FIRE DEPARTMENT

    Colo Fire and Rescue

    Colo Fire and Rescue provides substantial rescue services for the eastern side of Story County and the western side of Marshall County.  Colo Fire & Rescue have five fire fighting apparatuses, one EMS truck, and two special-purpose trailers.  All ready to handle any water emergency, medical emergency, rail incident, rope rescue, or grain bin rescue.  We are here for you!

    Utility bills are due on the 10th of the month.  After the 10th a 10% penalty is added.

    Garbage is picked up every Wednesday unless there is a holiday that week then garbage will picked up a day later.

    The City of Colo can ACH your bill out of your account to make easy payments!

    CITY BURNING

    The City Burn Pile is located at the far east of Progress Drive.  Available for Colo residents only! Call City Hall before you dump at 641-377-2238  Under surveillance at all times.
